Existem dez versões oficiais até hoje. Todas utilizam um motor de 2 litros, com turbo e tração nas quatro rodas.A décima versão do Lancer Evolution foi lançado no Japão em 2007, e em mercados do exterior em 2008, já com outro rumo, o mercado dos carros esportivos de topo.
